Thinking about starting a VA business but have no idea where to begin?

I know exactly how you feel.

I was in the same boat in 2016. Desperate to leave my corporate job and dreaming of change, I took the leap to become a VA.

But…….I had no idea what I was doing. And I’m here to stop anyone feeling the same way I did

Right, let’s go back to the beginning

And I bet your beginning looks a little bit like mine:

- Maybe you’re in a corporate job and you’re craving the freedom to run your day the way YOU want it to look (AND control your income too)

- Or maybe you want to be present on every school run and go to every school play without begging for the time off

- Or maybe you want to choose WHO you work with and HOW you work with them. And maybe even make that work a lot more interesting

But there are a few things holding you back, aren’t there?

  • You don't have a clue how to find clients (and even worse, you wouldn't know what to do if you actually found one!)

  • You don't know how to price or package your services - OR the types of work clients would pay you for to begin with

  • The thought of marketing yourself and becoming visible actually makes your toes curl!

But imagine if:

The 'how the hell do I start' panic disappeared & in its place you had a complete, concise framework to starting your own VA business

You didn't need to take out a loan to invest in your business but instead actually ENJOYED becoming the business owner you were born to be!

You stopped worrying over every decision & instead had a safe space to ask questions & get feedback on every part of your VA biz

If any of these sound ah-mazing then I’m happy to introduce you to:

The Virtual Assistant Toolkit is exactly what it says on the tin: Everything you need to start and thrive in business as a happy, successful VA.

All delivered by someone who has been a happy, successful VA since 2016 (oh, and I’m a qualified teacher so I quite literally teach you the steps to take to become a thriving VA)

I’m also one of the few VA trainers approved by The Society of Virtual Assistants.

So you can start your VA business without maxing out your credit card or signing up to a huge programme that you just don't have the time to complete.

Instead, you’ll go from zero to launched in 6 weeks.

Are you ready?

What past students have said:

The VA Toolkit is for you if:

  • You’re ready to start a VA business but the steps you think you need to take feel a bit daunting

  • You’re not prepared to battle away on your own. Instead you’re ready to be shown the way by someone who has started and grown a successful VA business themselves (and is still going over 7 years later)

  • You’re ready to replace the 9-5 with a flexible routine that fits around your ideal life (and that means saying no to 1 hour lunch breaks, holiday forms and cringey performance reviews….)

Hi, I’m Amy

And in 2016 I left behind my well paid job in London to become a Virtual Assistant.

That move literally became the best work decision I’ve ever made. Spending every day at home instead of on the train, doing ALL the nursery drop-offs for my daughter AND 3.30pm pick-ups……

…….setting my own rates, working with clients I actually enjoyed working with AND replacing my last corporate salary after I had my daughter!

I’m so passionate about the VA industry that a few years ago I began mentoring women who wanted to become VAs and that’s how I now spend the majority of my time around my VA work. I LOVE it.

When the idea of The Virtual Assistant Toolkit popped into my head it became all-consuming. I just knew it would be a game-changer for so many women who were desperate to create a business like mine that has allowed me so much freedom

Why I’m the perfect person to help you set up your VA business:

  • I’ve run a successful VA business for over 7 years (so I know exactly how to build a sustainable business)

  • I’ve since built a team of superstar Associate VAs supporting a dream group of clients

  • I replaced my corporate salary after I had my daughter (working with long-term clients)

  • As a VA my clients rave about working with me! I’ve worked with over 35 to date

  • I’ve already helped plenty of women become happy VAs

  • I’m a qualified teacher (so my lessons are clear and super effective)

  • I’m an approved Society of Virtual Assistants VA trainer

  • I work during school hours (so I know what it's like to be a mum in business)

  • Integrity guides everything I do. Meaning I don’t make false promises about having £10k months as soon as you get started

FAQs

What is The Virtual Assistant Toolkit?

The Virtual Assistant Toolkit is my signature VA training programme that walks you through how to start your VA business in 6 weeks. The programme is everything I wish I had known when I first started my business, and even a year into my biz there are were a huge number of things I was learning every day. I've put everything in The Virtual Assistant Toolkit in an easily digestible way (I'm a qualified teacher too so curriculum plans are my thing).

There are 6 modules which cover:

  • The Foundations: Design your ideal day, identify your zone of genius, set your goals & get the legal side in order

  • Work & money: Learn what type of work clients need help with, what you can charge & how you can package your offerings

  • Marketing: Create your branding, learn how to stand out & make an impact, set up and learn how to nail social media

  • Your website: Create your own website on Squarespace or Carrd using my tutorials and set-up guides (or a website-free alternative)

  • Finding clients: Become a client attraction master, network like a pro, use social media effectively & start having conversations

  • Your systems: Systems are the key to running a VA biz without overwhelm. We set up your systems for success in this module

In short, it's completely comprehensive & well-planned out. It's the programme I've used with the VAs I've mentored on a 1:1 basis for the last 5 years and is regularly updated with only the most relevant information.

Is it a lot of work?

You’ll get as much out of The Virtual Assistant Toolkit as you put in. Yes, I’ve made things as easy as possible with everything I've included but you absolutely need to take action, even if you don't feel ready. With everything in life you can be given the tools to succeed but you ultimately decide the end result through the effort you put in and the mindset you have. But don’t worry - you’ll have my support over email during the 6 weeks after you join AND my 1:1 support on your 30 minute call.

It’s my way of keeping you aligned to your goal, focussed and ready and willing to take action (and actually enjoy doing it!) In practical terms, you should set aside a few hours a week to work through the content of the modules.

Is The VA Toolkit just for UK VAs?

Apart from one legal lesson in Module 1 of The Virtual Assistant Toolkit which is relevant to UK VAs only, everything else is relevant and helpful to anyone around the world who wants to start their own thriving VA business in 2023 and beyond. Being a VA is global after all

Couldn’t I just learn all this myself?

You can probably learn everything there is to know about running an online business by yourself! But the question really is how long will that take you and at what cost? Because take it from someone who has pieced things together for two years before investing in a business coach: it’s a long process and a stressful one.

I was adamant I could do it all alone but it wasn't until I invested in a coach that my growth and confidence soared. I know not everyone can afford to work with a coach 1:1 or invest in a multi-thousand pounds/dollars high-ticket programme, so The Virtual Assistant Toolkit is quite honestly the most economical (but overwhelmingly brilliant) way of becoming a thriving VA in 2023 and beyond.

What about you? Do you know how to help VAs start?

This is an excellent question and one you should ask every mentor you’re thinking of working with. I became a VA 2016 and since then I’ve worked with over 30 clients - most recurring, regular clients. I’ve built a team of superstar VAs and we support multiple clients.

I’ve supported VAs for the past 4 years and I’ve shared their experiences of working with me on this page and on the rest of my website. I’m also a qualified teacher, so I understand exactly how to teach effectively. Finally, I’m continuously learning new skills and strategies by working with coaches of my own and by completing training courses on different tools. I’m also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ref: ZB566939), I’m professional indemnity insured as a VA and as a VA trainer AND perhaps most importantly I’m one of the few VA trainers approved by The Society of Virtual Assistants.

What do I need to get started?

You’ll need a laptop (or desktop computer) with an internet connection. There are also a couple things that are legal requirements, and I walk you through these in Module 1. Budget around £200 to cover a year of VA specific expenses related to running your business (not including coffee!)

Can I see the T&Cs before I join?

Of course you can! Here they are. And shout if you have any questions!
